UNIVERSE
The "Universe" Series was the first painting series where the artist enhanced the textures of the canvas, endowing the works with organic relief. In the pieces that constitute the Universe series, each person can be transported in a drop of paint and light into the interior of the artwork; the viewer feels in another world, Carmen Carbonell's world.
Some of the works in this series experience the phenomenon of iridescence, so the color evolves throughout the day. Depending on the light, the painting transforms.
Descriptive text of the UNIVERSE series:
Universo reproduces the metamorphosis of color during the course of the day.
The intense light of the sun's rays vibrates the colors that give rise to a torrent of life, stored energy that is transformed into its own light that is released in the form of metallic reflections when night falls.
Within each work there are infinite pieces, they are materialized in details, photographs, which submerge the spectator in each work in order to become part of it.
